| this is less a pet peeve and more a venting... I recently watched that eragon movie, I know late right, and I can honestly say... I died on the inside a little... for one everyone... even the king lives in a crapped out hut... its like every carpenter in that kingdom is an alcoholic... and they also ruined one of the most complex character in the storyline, that is the "herbalist" that you don't even hear the name of... by the way her name is angela.. and that "city" she was found in... yeah the dingy stilt houses over the water... that was supposed to be an amazing fortified city.. with paved roads... I am going to wright this wrong! I will remake the movie and I invite all of you members to help me do it.. who is with me??????? Added (2008-12-16, 8:40 Pm)

Same with me. I had read the books, and the movie was garbage.

| Just Nixon. Good ol´Dick Nixon came to refer to himself as "Nixon" when he spoke about is public persona. Must have driven him crazy over the years, but he had to ´cause of his "real" personality. It cost him the election against Kennedy in 1960 so the apparatus around Nixon deemed it the main reason that he failed. There is an essay written by Dr.Hunter S. Thompson that addresses this issue. It is called "Presenting: The Richard Nixon Doll(Overhauled 1968 Model)". Awesome piece of literature. You can find it in The Great Shark Hunt, a collection of Thompsons writing. Also check out the 1995 movie "Nixon", by Oliver Stone.
