| Got my second RRoD yesterday. And believe it or not, I cheered. Now I get my old box fixed up by the good doctors while I buy myself a shiny new elite. "Why?", you say? Well, I am currently using a 60 gig hard-drive, but that is filled with DLC and the complete FF11 package. I need more space to be able to put games on my hard-drive. So, a 120 gig goes for, let´s see 200$, while the new elite bundle costs 500$, give or take. I need some new equipment for my gaming rig, like new controller, headset and HDMI cable. If I were to buy this in the store, I would quickly end up at the same price as the bundle. And it is black! Seriously guys, that is so sweet! It is hidden in the night like ninja or something. Anyway, please share stories about your RRoD´s. With a bit of humor it should be easier to handle the horrible ordeal:)

| I've had some pretty scary times with the rings of death but I haven't had the console killing one yet, I've just gotten a ton of random errors, weird disc reads, games going crazy, all to go back to normal on next startup, /shrug guess my xbox is a trooper lol.

| Yeah, I have had my share of funky experiences. The weirdest one was a "can´t read disc" on my brand new Mass Effect disc. Shortly after that, I got my first RRoD though. And lock-ups! By jebus, I have had many of those bastards...

| For three years my 360 marched on, only to get hit by the Red Rings last Monday. Now, it sits quietly in my room while I await the day I can buy that special fan that the 360 sits on, hopefully curing the Red Rings. If not, I'll sigh and go buy another one and see if I can transfer the Hard Drive between them so I don't have to re-work three years worth of progress.

| I hear that. I have to order a transfer cable for my elite. Damn thing comes without it. It is free though, but that might just prove a problem by itself. I don´t think microsoft put that much effort in a free product.
Might just take months before I get the cable...

| One time my older brother picked up my 360 while I was playing it. He then dropped it. Nothing happened. I was pretty happy

| Hehe, one time, before the other time I refered to, like in May just after I got my 360, my friends and I were playing on my Xbox, Rock Band. My friend turned the Xbox off, unpluged it, moved it across the room (he held it horizontally), and put it down. The Rock Band didn't work after that.

| I have heard horror-stories like that. It is just horrible that the issue went through consumer-control before release.. Some 360´s even wrecked discs when stationary. I think there were a few lawsuits because of that.. Added (2009-01-12, 7:41 Pm)

| It is pretty much spot on. If there is ever made a Hal-9000, it is by microsoft. Did anyone of you get the "scuff-mark" problem with their Mass Effect disc? That is by far the weirdest issue I have had with the 360, and a specific game. Added (2009-01-13, 5:01 Pm)

Curses! The damn store did not have any elites left. They did not even know when the next shipment would arrive. Could be up to a month seeing as christmas sales drained their supply. So I might as well wait and get myself the 120gig alone..

| Wow, glad I haven't gotten a RROD yet. I still have yet to try Mass Effect so I haven't had that problem, do plan on getting it eventually, just waaaaaaaaaay too many games came out at once at the end of 08 and I'm still playing catch-up.

| Eh, it was fun, that's for sure, I rented it, got a decent ways into the game, its definitely different, but overall I enjoyed it, doubt there's much replay value though.

| yeah, a friend lent it tot me just as my box went rrod. Might just plow through it to get some achievements  I got to much to play anyway.. me and the missus has ran up a collection of 30 titles for the 360.
