Hey everyone, Laxfish here.
Haven't updated Gaming News in a while, so here we go:
North Carolina may be considering a digital download tax.
Residents of North Carolina may soon have to pay a little extra when you download a game from Steam. According to News-14 of North Carolina, they are reporting that a legislative commission is looking into modernizing the state's tax code. This could mean language for a new sales tax on digital retailers that could bring in an additional $12 million of annual revenue.
"So if you buy a book in a bookstore, you're going to have to pay sales tax on it," said Democratic Representative Paul Luebke. "If you're downloading a book from a book seller, you should have to pay sales tax on that as well." And presumably, games as well.

Major Minor's Majestic March (Wii) -- In this rhythm game from PaRappa the Rappa creator Masaya Matsura, you lead a marching band through on-rails courses using the Wii Remote like a large conductor's baton. Moving the remote up and down in-time to the music, you recruit new band members while keeping the group together and marching.
Gardening Mama (DS) -- The popular Cooking Mama get out of the kitchen and into the garden to let you raise assorted flowers and vegetables.
Our House (Wii) -- Minigames meet home improvement. Players compete against one another locally to create their dream house (Bob Villa not included).
Dawn of Heroes (DS) -- A turn based strategy game similar to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, but with a less serious tone and 3D battles.
Puffins (DS) -- A sort of linear Animal Crossing that teaches about an underappreciated bird, the Puffin.
That's the news for today, expect the Final Fantasy gameplay video tomorrow.
Have a good night.
