Currently reading all I can find by Philip K. Dick. That was one crazy man, but his books are, at times, mindblowing.

This is the man who wrote the book Blade Runner is based on, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

And the book I like to call"the ultimate tinfoil-hat experience": VALIS. It is based on experiences had by the author, where a laser from outer space gives him the truth about reality, time, christianity and existence.

His books are getting more and more recognition as the years go, and I highly recommend to read a few PKD´s in your lifetime.

Yeah, I have heard pretty good things about the Halo books series, may pick some up one day.

On the topic of game books, I really want the Mass Effect books. The story in ME was amazing, and the books look equally good.

Ill read anything by L. E. Modesitte Jr., or Orson Scott Card, Dave Barry is hillarious, and Matthew Reilly rocks at action/adventure. As for fantasy, other than L.E., Weis Hickman is pretty good, and Diane Duane and Christopher Paolini come in as a close third. The Halo series was really good, though i thought the quality of writing fell slowly after the second book, the Starcraft series was better.

EDIT*
Forgot to mention a few other authors ive read recently. Mercedes Lackey, especially the Heralds of Vaaldemar series, and The Mage Wars, Robert Louis Stevensor is pretty much a classic writer, and if you have not read Norton Juster's "The Phantom Tollbooth", or Robert Fisher's "The Knight in Rusty Armor", then you should definitely find them and read them. Those last two books changed my life.

Maybe it will come back to you. I've taken breaks for weeks or months before and gone right back to my books.
